keeping an eye on the tree and the forest

Dave's Exegesis is my eclectic site of exegesis on pretty much everything I can think of, whether biblical studies, theology, music, movies, culture, food, drink, sports, or the internet.

It’s Been a While

03.14.05

It’s been a while since I’ve caught up, but now is not the time. I’m trying to clean up the mess that the wedding hurricane has left. I’ve got a lot to do in a little time. I’ve got a class due Wednesday that include 2 exams and 2 small papers. I’ve got to translate Greek for Galatians class, which I haven’t been to in like a month. Don’t worry, I’ve got entries in the hopper and plenty to talk about. Give me a few more days.

Just Like New

03.03.05

Although that’s what the twins in the “Matrix: Reloaded” said when the re-formed themselves, I think I can apply that to my car as well. I am proud to announce that it is not just back in my possession, but it is working well. It’s like getting a new car. I will see my love in about 25 hours. She went out to get me bubble tea from a bubble tea shop in Ithaca to bring home to me. I love bubble tea and I can’t believe she remembered to bring some home. I love her. May the grind begin, I have to do so much in the next 2 weeks and I don’t know where I’m going to find the time. Thanks for your prayers.

I Kid You Not

03.02.05

After two and a half grueling months, my car has now been fixed. For about $1000, I have a new engine with about 21,000 miles on it and a virtually new clutch. I AM PUMPED!!! Friday, my girl will be home on break, and I will have some time off so we can get crankin on wedding stuff. There is nothing like having love: couch cuddling, “movie watching”, mini pizzas, the guest room, “which Blockbuster did you go to?”, long walks, music buying, and sleeping in. My version of heaven.
