<description>david-everything went great for the wedding, we were able to find a photographer who is a friend of a friend. DA is not necessarily a presuppositionalist idea, although it is certainly consistent with it. DA has it's roots in linguistics and bible translation.

moe-where have you been lately is my question? we need to get together.

josh-yes i beat you to it. you just need to blog faster. always good stuff to talk to my friend.

cyndie-i'll blah, blah, blah you!

rick-i've included some good links for you below:

		<description>Dave,
As usual, you beat me to it! SSA is a perfect blog topic. I love your reasons why you love DA.

I would also add what we talked about at Stone Soup. DA is an invaluable missiological tool. Many translators use it to uncover both the semantic and grammatical sublties of the Greek and Hebrew so that they can appropriately translate the text into the new language. I don't know of another process that can do this! Apparently the best and brightest, Summer Institute for Linguistics, don't either.

Thanks for the post man. I'll be thinking of some other reasons why I love DA over vactation on Cape Cod this week!</description>

		<description>Dave,

Where have we been of late? Miss your fellowship.

As for "DA" we (the John Bunyan Conference crowd) have been employing that method for sometime now. It's really nothing new. S.H. must have stolen it from us. ;-)

<description>david, it's been a while my friend. i've been out of the blogosphere for a while, but decided to check yours out. hope the wedding plans are going well. hope you got a photographer! anyway, i trust seminary is going well. i just finished taking history of philosophy with john frame. it was a great class. i am just starting johannine literature and am reading ridderbos. he is probably my favorite author. i am intrigued by this 'discourse analysis' concept. i've never heard of it, but upon reading your review, it sounds a lot like a form of presuppositionalism. i have definitely become one through my tenure at rts. anyway, i'd love to learn more. perhaps i'll be up in your neck of the woods this summer. hope the wedding goes well.

yours,
